
Medhat E. Allam, M.D., F.A.C.S.
Chief Surgeon
Dr. Allam graduated from the University of Alexandria, School of Medicine in 1984. After completing his surgical residency at Brookdale University Hospital in 1996, he settled in Southampton, New York where he established a general surgical practice with a specialty in advanced laparoscopy.
Dr. Allam has published many articles on the topic of Laparoscopic and Minimally Invasive Surgery in prestigious journals. Some of the articles introduced new techniques in laparoscopic colon and stomach surgeries.
In 1997, Dr. Allam formed a surgical team that would travel to third world countries to provide free treatment for the poor. This team has been developed into a not-for-profit organization, ISMS that, to date, has traveled to many third-world countries including Haiti, Mexico, Brazil and Vietnam , Nepal, Nigeria, Zambia, Nicaragua, Peru among others providing free surgical care in remote areas.
In June,2001, Dr. Allam established the Hamptons Center for Bariatric Surgery . His program has been described as " A model for other hospitals to follow" by an impartial reviewer. The Hamptons Center for Bariatric Surgery's quality of care and statistics were found to exceed the standards of care published by major centers in the USA.

Pat has been our program consultant since its inception. Her vast knowledge in nutritional requirements and management of different diseases has been an asset to our program. Pat is a kind and friendly person whose patients cannot help but admire her and follow her advice.
Pat is an active member of the American Dietetic Association. She is a member of Southampton Hospital Professional Speaker Bureau and has been a guest on several radio and television shows.

Linda has been a nurse for many years and has worked with many different populations. She enjoys helping others and always tries to maintain a positive attitude. Being a resource for her patients and helping to educate them on their individual health needs is a priority for her. She is continuing her education in community health and attends St. Joseph’s College.
